Below are a few of the titles I’ve edited for Encounter Books.

The New School: How the Information Age Will Save American Education From Itself

By Glenn Harlan Reynolds

Published January 2014

“In The New School, Glenn Harlan Reynolds explains how parents, students and educators can, and must, reclaim and remake American education. Already, Reynolds explains, many Americans are abandoning traditional education for new models. Many are going to charter schools or private schools, but others are going another step beyond and making the leap to online education—over 1.8 million K-12 students already.”

I copyedited, fact-checked and proofread the final layout of this book.

The New Leviathan: The State Versus the Individual in the 21st Century

Edited by Roger Kimball

Published August 2012

This collection of Encounter Broadsides explores the ideas of liberty and democratic capitalism. Contributors John R. Bolton, Daniel DiSalvo, Richard A. Epstein, Peter Ferrara, John Fund, Victor Davis Hanson, Andrew C. McCarthy, Betsy McCaughey, Stephen Moore, Michael B. Mukasey, Glenn Harlan Reynolds, Rich Trzupek and Kevin D. Williamson.

I edited the book for consistency among the manuscripts, which I had previously edited as part of the Broadsides series. I also proofread the final design.

The Road to Fatima Gate: The Beirut Spring, the Rise of Hezbollah, and the Iranian War Against Israel

By Michael J. Totten

Published April 2011

This 400-page nonfiction book is described on Amazon.com as a “first-person narrative account of revolution, terrorism, and war during history’s violent return to Lebanon after fifteen years of quiet. Michael J. Totten’s version of events in one of the most volatile countries in the world’s most volatile region is one part war correspondence, one part memoir, and one part road movie.”

I fact-checked and copyedited the manuscript, proofread the final layout for typesetting and design and created the index for the book.
